Meetings

Committee Meetings take place at the Friends Office in the Cookhouse at the Bow Valley Ranch, Fish Creek Provincial Park. The Friends have four committees in order run our programs and serve the Park and the community effectively.

Program Committee

3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm

Would you like to help maintain the programs the Friends offer, as well as provide ideas and assistance in developing new programs? Then the Program Committee is for you. The role of program committee member will be to help Bonnie maintain and coordinate programs, assist at events, investigate new program opportunities, and develop contacts with potential speakers and presenters. Monthly commitment includes a 2 hour meeting (evening or weekend) and 2 hours assisting with program execution.

Governance Committee

3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm

Do you have a law degree or legal experience? If so, the Friends would like you to be a part of the governance committee to help out with legal issues and give advice.

Finance Committee

4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm

A volunteer on this committee will help devise a planned approach to ensure the long-term financial success of the Friends, help develop a financial reserve using planned giving and special promotional activities, and develop corporate partnerships.

Membership Committee

4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm

Do you have great ideas for generating excitement in the community and attracting new members? Join the membership committee and help the Friends increase our membership.
