The Friends of Fish Creek presents

Celebrate Water at the Second Annual CREEKFEST
FREE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
Saturday, June 23, 2012 - 11:00 am - 4:00 pm Bow Valley Ranch, Fish Creek Provincial Park
South end of Bow Bottom Trail SE. View Map
Celebrate water at the second annual CREEKFEST and see the Bow Valley Ranch transformed into a festival of knowledge and environmental conservation! Kids will have fun watching Peter Puffin’s Whale Tales and Alberta Parks’ Flow Factor, and will learn about protecting water through interactive games.
Enjoy a variety of presenters in the environmental field, listen to local musical acts, take part in guided walks and water sampling demonstrations, and get in touch with community groups working to protect our local watersheds. The kids will have fun with face-painting and a bouncy castle, and parents can try their luck at the exciting raffle draw.
Have a great time while learning how you can help protect the Fish Creek watershed so future generations will enjoy this park as much as we do. CREEKFEST kicks off Phase 2 of the Friends’ Watershed Public Awareness Campaign designed to spread the word in communities near the park about protecting our local waterways.
CREEKFEST and the Watershed Stewardship project made possible through a grant from the Alberta Real Estate Foundation. This project was funded in part through the Watershed Stewardship Grant, a program of Land Stewardship Centre. CREEKFEST also sponsored in part by Total E&P Canada, First Calgary Financial, Alberta Conservation Association and the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation.
